Advanced Stages

All students will have an opportunity to progress through all of the stages that JDP offers.  Many students advanced to Stage 3 fairly quickly, however, when moving on to Stages 4-6, our students will be required to pass various skills and scoring tests.  In other words, they will earn the privilege to be considered for these higher stages.  This is one of the many things that differentiates JDP Golf from many other junior golf programs.

Stage 3 Graduation Guidelines

Must demonstrate the 8 Step Swing correctly.

Mid-Irons ( 6,7,8) carry 50+yards ( no tee is used) 3 out of 5 times.

Driver: Carry 50+ yards 3 out of 5 times.

Shoot: 39 or less on the Futures Course.

Stage 4 Graduation Guidelines

Chipping: with an 8 or 9 iron, chip ball within 6 feet of the hole 3 out of 5 times from 20 feet. Also, chip a ball with an 8 or 9 iron within 6 feet of the hole 3 out of 5 times from 40 feet.

Putting:  3 foot putt (from 4 places around the hole) 3 out of 5 times from each place.

2 Putt from 40 feet 3 out of 5 times.

Shoot: 40 or less from the Red Tees on the Players Course.

Stage 5 Graduation Guidelines

Mid –iron: (6,7,8)carry 75 + yards ( no tees used) 3 out of 5 times.

Driver: Carry 75+ yards 3 out of 5 times.

Chipping : 8 or 9 iron – ball stops within 6 feet of hole 3 out of 5 times from 40 feet.

Putting : 4 ft. putt ( from 4 places around the hole) 3 out of 5 times.

Bunker: Stop ball on the green 3 out of 5 times.

Shoot:  40 or less from the White Tees on the Players Course.
